Peasy's Privacy Policy

Last Updated: 5 Mar, 2025

At Peasy, we are committed to protecting your privacy. Here's a summary of our approach:

  • We do not set cookies on our clients' visitors' browsers.
  • We do not collect any personal data from visitors.
  • We never share visitor data with third parties.
  • We only share minimal client data with essential third-party services like email providers and payment processors.
  • We do not sell or monetize any data.

Data We Track

Here is the information we store in our systems:

Data Type Description
Unique Hash A non-reversible hash generated using domain, IP address, user agent, and a daily salt. The salt is unique per domain and refreshed daily to ensure anonymity.
Country & City Derived from headers provided by Cloudflare from their CF-IPCountry and CF-IPCity headers. We do not store or use IP addresses directly.
User Agent We record browser type, operating system, and device type without storing the full user agent string.
HTTP Referrer We capture the referring website when available.
UTM Parameters All available UTM tracking data is stored for analytics purposes.
Page Views We track pages visited by each unique hash.

Our use of unique hashes ensures compliance with privacy regulations by eliminating the need for third-party cookies. Daily salt rotation enhances security by preventing reverse-engineering of past hashes.

Visitor Profiles (Client Data)

Peasy's clients have the option to enrich visitor profiles with custom data, including names and email addresses. When clients utilize this feature, Peasy acts as a sub-processor. As such, our clients are responsible for ensuring they have the appropriate consent and legal basis for sharing visitor data with us. Peasy is committed to processing and storing this data securely and will not share it with any third-party services.

Client Data

To provide our services, we collect only the essential information:

  • An email address for account creation and important communications like transactional emails.
  • We may share email addresses with trusted services such as Mailgun, our email service and Stripe, our payment processor.
  • Our servers and databases are securely hosted on Amazon Web Services
  • We use a first-party session cookie to manage logins. This cookie can be cleared at any time.
